Black Love in Soundtrack

SOUNDSTAGE @ WILD PROJECT

Black Love in Soundtrack is a string ensemble performance led by Majid Khaliq. The ensemble will perform compositions from films: Love Jones, Love & Basketball, If Beale Street Could Talk and more. In addition to the music, the performance will feature poetry and song by Cyrus Aaron and guests.

Vocalist: Sheherazade

Majid Khaliq is a violinist and composer cut from a different cloth. He has been described by legendary musician Wynton Marsalis as having “a unique blend of improvisation, groove and technical sophistication.”

Cyrus Aaron is an advocate of Voice and doer of Language; navigating literary and performance through poetry, theater, film, music and voice acting. His most recent commissions include: HBO Max, Proctor & Gamble, BBDO, Spotify, Cadillac and Twitter.

About Soundstage
Soundstage @ wild project is a live music series in New York City featuring local talent
and beyond. The series will kick off its ten performance season in the Spring of 2022 and will conclude in the Fall. The inaugural season will be programmed by multi-disciplinary artist, and Curator-in-Residence Cyrus Aaron.
