Marla Lou (@marlalou_) Born in Haiti and raised in Washington Heights NYC, Marla is a first-generation Computer Science graduate (Fordham University ‘20), internationally published model (Vogue Italia, Oprah Magazine, SavagexFenty), award-winning theater performer (2015 Jimmy Award Winner), TV/Film actor (Netflix’s Seven Seconds, Showtime’s Flatbush Misdemeanors), and the Founder & CEO of abolitionist 501c3 organization Claim Our Space Now.

In navigating through her own healing and liberation from the oppressive spiritual tradition she grew up in, Marla has claimed her purpose to make the revolution irresistible boldly through her art, advocacy work, and sharing her own testimony. Her creative storytelling and active community building embrace the collective beauty, brilliance, and power of the Black diaspora. She seeks to joyfully invite the global Black community to fully realize and claim their self-determination to shape the future Black history. And she’s just getting started!

The Incredible Drunkertons (@theincredibledrunkertons)first rose to fame as the child stars of their eponymous hit prime-time series set in a swanky Las Vegas hotel. During their initial run, the twins mesmerized audiences with their wit, humor, sophistication and musical dexterity. However after five record breaking seasons, numerous hit recordings and countless accolades the show was abruptly canceled. Now that a twenty-year long non-compete clause has expired and their protracted legal battle with The Network is behind them, The Incredible Drunkertons are ready to take their place at the top yet again, one stage at a time. wild project is a proud partner of IndieSpace. We donate $0.05 from every ticket to support historically excluded Indie Theater artists in New York.

Sound Stage is a performance initiative that gives the stage back to the community, keeping the spirit of live entertainment strong in the post-pandemic era. There’s a certain quality that intimate shows offer, and there’s power when audiences can actually see and feel the artists up close at our 89-seat theater. This initiative is about the communal connection between people and artmaking at our 89-seat theater in the East Village. New York City is home to an amazing artist community, and that community has uniquely talented people, some of which you may know, and some of which you definitely want to find out about.

Sound Stage @ wild project, launched in 2022, annually presents intimate performances between July & August. This year’s lineup featured comedians, poets, and music artists from around the country, and we are ecstatic to have Brooklyn-based artist Cyrus Aaron as our first curator-in-residence.
