Actress and downtown personality, Heather Litteer’s beloved annual festival of art and entertainment called ON THE VERGE. Litteer started W.O.(e.)R.D .(Women of Experience Read Downtown) more than a decade ago to highlight femme and non-binary artists that “walk a bit off the beaten path and color outside the lines.”
The festival does the same, continually bringing together women from a diverse range of backgrounds and creative disciplines. ON THE VERGE provides a platform for exciting women to meet, experiment, collaborate, and inspire one another through the sharing of ideas in a positive environment. Litteer’s festival cultivates a safe place for expression and risk taking that is free from societal restraints

Heather Litteer is an actress and has been a vital member of New York’s downtown performance, alternative cabaret & indie film scene working with Jane Campion, Mary Harron, and Darren Aronofsky. Ms Litteer also writes and creates her own theatre work like “Lemonade” premiered at La MaMa ETC onto Edinburgh Fringe,Kings Head Theatre London. “Intelligent Intuitive performance…”The Stage UK. She curates and produces femme focused reading series and arts festival WOeRD… On The Verge. A vocalist Art Rock Band Rimbaud Hattie along side John Kelly, Julie Hair and Doug Bressler. A recipient of The HOWL! Arts Fellowship and Fox Fellowship actress of Extraordinary Potential and is a Member of the critically acclaimed Caden Manson’s Big Art Group and performed at the Venice Biennale 2022.
