It’s the middle of nowhere Martin County and the high school’s prestigious science fair is in full swing. A Mexican psychic, a Memphis stripper, and the mouthpiece for the Baptist church all have sons competing but when one of the boys is found out to be a fruitcake, a kooky witch hunt unravels behind the scenes and each woman’s need for that first place trophy reveals ulterior motives. Storytelling through spoken word and part-time drag, Brennan Vickery’s new show takes us deep down into the south where gossip is king and God is queen; and when you hear “nothing happens here” its only cause you ain’t supposed to know.
