Sound Stage is a performance initiative that gives the stage back to the community, keeping the spirit of live entertainment strong in the post-pandemic era. There’s a certain quality that intimate shows offer, and there’s power when audiences can actually see and feel the artists up close at our 89-seat theater. This initiative is about the communal connection between people and artmaking at our 89-seat theater in the East Village. New York City is home to an amazing artist community, and that community has uniquely talented people, some of which you may know, and some of which you definitely want to find out about.

Sound Stage @ wild project, launched in 2022, annually presents intimate performances between July & August. This year’s lineup featured comedians, poets, and music artists from around the country, and we are ecstatic to have Brooklyn-based artist Cyrus Aaron as our first curator-in-residence.
