OFF BROADWAY THEATER GOES GREEN WILD PROJECT MAKES VENUE ECO-FRIENDLY

Off Broadway is going green: The recently remodeled Wild Project (formerly the Bottle Factory Theater) on the Lower East Side will include low-flush toilets, rooftop solar panels and organic concessions in its new incarnation. The theater will also use an eco-friendly ZAP car in its advertising.

The renamed space will debut with “33 to Nothing,” a return engagement of Grant James Vargas’ play chronicling the breakup of a downtown garage band, which begins previews July 19 for a July 25 opening. Randal Myer directs the production, which is not billed as a musical but will feature live music performed by the actors.
