Programs
Wild Project is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that presents and produces theatre and performance artists across a multitude of disciplines and media. As part of our continuing commitment to support our mission, Wild Project has created several program initiatives that provide opportunities for theatre companies, performance artists, dance companies, musicians, and filmmakers with more affordable access to Wild Project’s 89-seat theatre space.

Artists and creators across theater, dance, film, spoken word, music, and visual arts the resources to transform their theater content into impactful films, live-streams, and theater-on-film using wild project’s 89-seat theater as a production sound stage.
Resident Companies
Resident companies receive 2-8 weeks of exclusivity to Wild Project’s 89-seat theatre each year, which extends stability and clarity to theatre companies whose brand and artistic influence are experiencing growth.
Lights Up on Theater
A partnership program with the Educational Alliance that provides theater education workshops to local 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students.
East Village Queer Film Festival
With a particular focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC filmmakers, wild project aims to support and strengthen the New York City and queer film community.
Mikéah Ernest Jennings Artist-in-Residence
Designed in alignment with wild project’s core mission statement, and the program goal is to increase equity for solo performance artists.
Conversation Series

Wild Culture
A program where wild project partners with a cross-section of independent, downtown performance artists to help both professional and emerging theater performers nurture, broaden and advance projects that are in various stages of development
Sound Stage
The concert festival is about the communal connection between people and performance at our 89-seat theater in the East Village.
MainStage
MainStage productions receive invaluable project resources, 4 weeks of production and 1 week of tech at our 89-seat theater, performer stipends, marketing, production staff, administrative support, and collaborative input.
