What is EVQ?

The EAST VILLAGE QUEER FILM FESTIVAL or EVQ embraces an inclusive Queer identity, featuring films that entertain, explore and promote queer-themed issues, work by and featuring LGBTQIA+ artists, as well as work inspired by the expanded innovative and audacious downtown Queer avant-garde.

Why EVQ?

The festival seeks to become a positive space for building, growing and fostering the Queer film community and to serve an integral role ushering in the future of Queer film.

Q & A for the New Shorts with Big Hearts

In our 2020 virtual festival, Kyle Glasow hosted the Q & A for the New Shorts with Big Hearts short film program where Kyle was joined by Next Level Shit filmmaker Gary Jaffe and What If co-stars Buck Angel and David Farrington.

The Q & A evolved into a fascinating, funny and honest discussion about life, ordering beers, and queer film.
